This thesis set out to discover how leading international art museums are currently developing mobile applications to reveal hidden aspects of art as practical implementations of their broad missions to help diverse audiences learn about art. It is intended to contribute new knowledge to this evolving field by synthesizing existing projects and research while also leaving its own mark in the growing pantheon of mobile learning guides through the creation of a new prototype about Bulgarian Orthodox art.
