My hOME in sofia

Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, I now live in Sofia, Bulgaria, the capital, which is founded on the ruins of the Roman city of Serdica.

The city is named after the 6th century Basilica that stands in the center of the city near the modern Alexander Nevsky Catheral.

Sofia means “divine wisdom” in ancient Greek, and like Athena herself, the personifiation of Sofia is often portrayed with an owl.
